Porsche understands its market. Exclusivity, design appeal, and mechanical potency are a few of the main reasons that the car manufacturer has some of the most ardent and loyal followers in all of the driving world. That’s why it makes perfect sense for Porsche Design to release its first timepiece with an in-house-constructed movement as an exclusive to new owners of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS sports car.

Three years of development went into constructing the COSC-certified Caliber Werk 01.200, which includes innovations such as load/stress optimized bridges that make the chronograph incredibly lightweight. The rotor is designed to resemble the wheel rim of the new sports car and the titanium case and carbon-fiber dial reflect various other details of the car’s appearance. The watch is priced at $12,650, and more information is available here.

The Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT2 RS comes in multiple different dial colors and strap combinations.
Although this is the second timepiece created exclusive for vehicle owners by Porsche Design, this is the first timepiece with an in-house made movement.
