Shaken, Not Stirred

Seiko releases a nightlife-inspired timepiece for under $500. I’ll drink to that.

During Baselworld, Japan-based Seiko announced the introduction of its popular Cocktail Time model to the American market for the first time. Previously limited to only collectors in the brand’s home country, the Cocktail Time is noteworthy both for its striking sunburst dial and variety of
colorful options.

The new Cocktail Time models are released as a part of the more extensive Presage collection—originally launched in 2016—and consist of two different lines, one time-and-date only, with four different dial combinations (SRPB) and another four with a central power reserve display (SSA).

Underneath the arresting dial design beats the Caliber 4R35 for the SRPB and the 4R57 for the SSA, both highly accurate in-house movements with a 41-hour power reserve. At $425, there might not be a better value in the industry, so expect to see a Cocktail in the hands and on the wrists of even more people in the coming months.
